Overview

Holiday Pay is a valuable financial incentive that rewards employees who work on company-recognized holidays. When you work on one of CareSphere’s official holidays, you receive an extra $3.00 per hour on top of your standard hourly rate.

This benefit recognizes your dedication and supports those who help maintain operations during peak times. This extra pay reflects our appreciation for your time and service.

Holiday Pay helps you earn more while continuing to serve, making holiday shifts a great opportunity to increase your income.

Who Is Eligible

All active CareSphere employees are eligible to receive Holiday Pay when they meet the following criteria:

You are scheduled to work and complete an eligible shift on a recognized CareSphere holiday

Your time is properly clocked in and out using our EVV or payroll system

Eligibility applies to:

  • Full-time and part-time employees

  • Hourly employees paid through the regular CareSphere payroll system

Please Note

If you are unsure whether your shift qualifies, you can confirm with your supervisor or the HR/payroll team prior to working the holiday.

What the Benefit Includes

When you work a shift on a CareSphere-recognized holiday, you receive an additional $3.00 per hour worked during that shift. This pay is added on top of your regular hourly rate and will appear as a separate line item on your paycheck.

For example:

If your standard rate is $14/hour and you work 8 hours on a holiday, your holiday pay is:
8 hours × $3.00 = $24.00 bonus
Your total pay for that day: (8 × $14) + $24 = $136.00

This extra pay is not a flat bonus or stipend. It is calculated hour by hour, so the more hours you work on the holiday, the more you earn in additional holiday pay.

Remember!
Holiday Pay applies only to hours worked on the holiday date itself. It does not apply to on-call hours, PTO, or non-worked time.

How to Access or Apply

No application is necessary. Holiday Pay is automatically applied to qualifying shifts as long as:

  1. You are scheduled to work on a CareSphere holiday

  2. You complete the shift and accurately clock in and out

  3. The shift is processed in payroll with the correct holiday date

Important:

If you want to pick up additional hours on a holiday, speak with your supervisor about shift availability. Holiday shifts are often in high demand and may require advance approval.
