Overview

Early Wage Access (EWA), powered by rapid!, gives CareSphere employees the flexibility to access a portion of their earned wages before payday. This benefit allows you to get paid right after your shift instead of waiting for payday! Whether you're managing bills, emergencies, or just need your money sooner, EWA helps you stay in control.

Please Note:

This is not a loan. You’re accessing money you’ve already earned for shifts you’ve already worked. EWA puts your pay in your hands, giving you faster, more flexible access to your income anytime, any way.

Who Is Eligible

You are eligible for Early Wage Access if:

You are an active CareSphere employee with hours recorded in our payroll system

You receive your pay through the rapid! PayCard, a personal debit card, or direct ACH to your bank account

Your shifts are properly clocked in and submitted to payroll

This benefit is available to hourly employees, including caregivers, aides, nurses, and support staff.

Please Note:

Salaried employees may also be eligible, depending on their payroll structure.

What the Benefit Includes

EWA allows you to:

  • Access your earned wages within 24 hours after working a shift

  • Transfer funds to multiple types of payment methods, including:

    • rapid! PayCard

    • Personal or prepaid debit card

    • ACH bank transfer

    • Cash pickup at participating retail locations (if enabled)

  • Monitor your available balance based on your actual hours worked

  • Make as-needed withdrawals based on your net pay, after taxes and deductions

  • Receive funds same day in many cases, often within minutes

Remember!

You are not borrowing money. You are simply receiving early access to wages you have already earned.

How It Works

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how Early Wage Access functions:

1. Work a Shift

  • Your hours are tracked by CareSphere’s Clock in System.

  • Shifts typically sync to rapid! EWA within a few hours after the shift ends (may take up to 24 hours).

2. Check Your Available Balance

  • The system calculates your estimated net pay (after taxes/deductions).

  • A portion of this amount becomes available in your EWA balance.

3. Choose How to Get Paid

  • Once you’re enrolled, you can log in and choose your disbursement method:

    • rapid! PayCard (instant delivery, usually within minutes)

    • Debit card (can take up to 30 minutes)

    • Bank account (ACH – 1 to 3 business days)

4. Receive the Money

  • EWA transfers the requested amount.

  • Your next paycheck will reflect this amount as a deduction, showing what you accessed early.

Remember!

You can access funds as often as needed, within the limits of your available earned balance and any applicable fees.

Important Rules & Policies

  • EWA is not automatic. You must opt in by downloading the rapid!PAY app or enrolling on the website.

  • Funds accessed early will appear as a deduction on your next pay stub. This is not extra pay, it’s money you already earned.

  • Only earned, available wages can be accessed. You won’t be able to withdraw more than your calculated eligible amount.

  • No credit cards are accepted. You must use a personal debit card, prepaid card, bank account, or PayCard.

  • Disbursement fees may apply. While rapid! does not charge for using the app itself, certain payment methods (like instant debit transfer or cash pickup) may include third-party fees. Always check before selecting a payout method.

  • Timing depends on the payment method:

    • rapid! PayCard or debit card: often within minutes (up to 30 min)

    • ACH to bank account: usually 1–3 business days

  • Incorrect payment info can cause delays. If you enter incorrect card or account details, the transaction may fail. Funds will return to your balance, but make sure to update your information to avoid issues.
